How Sakshi reversed her Hypothyroidism (high TSH)?

Hypothyroid gland in the throat region

Sakshi (name changed), currently in her thirties, runs a small home business. She is married and has a school-going daughter. Sakshi had been suffering from hypothyroidism (high TSH levels) for over 5 years. She had been on thyroid medication earlier, however her levels of the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) used to shoot every time up weeks after medication was stopped. She wanted to stop her reliance on medication.

At YOGKUTiR, a curated yoga routine (scroll below) was developed for Sakshi. Within 3 months her TSH level improved from 8+ to 6+ (normal range 0.38 - 5.33). No thyroid medication was taken during this period. She is continuing the routine to bring the TSH levels under further control.

Which yoga practices are beneficial?

  1. Thyroid-stimulating Asanas & Pranayamas

  2. Heat-generating Pranayamas to improve energy & metabolism
